I guess its been awhile.

Doesn't this seem like the reoccurring theme of this blog? I guess I just get a bit involved in day to day life or maybe reading other people's blogs or facebook...I don't know.

Boy how things have changed...(no, not our family size!)

For the past year we have been living with Brian's parent. It was only supposed to be a few months but Brian lost his job in November and just recently found a new one the beginning of May. We have been so grateful for our families support financially and emotionally through this time. We found a beautiful apartment in the Lancaster area which we will be moving into June 30th. We are pretty excited about that. We have had the opportunity to learn many new things and our lives have been blessed tremendously through the trails we have experienced this past year.

Brian is 2nd counselor in the Elder's Quorum. He loves the calling and the many opportunities to serve. His new job is a place called Kenworth Trucks. They build custom semi trucks. Brian has a good time there...he loves the guys he works with. Brian is celebrating his 10 year high school reunion this weekend..he's not to sure what to think about that..mainly because THAT WAS TEN YEARS AGO!

Elyse is the 1st counselor in Primary and loving every minute of that. The primary is smaller than what she is used to but the kids are AWESOME! Elyse is has worked at and since stopped working at Kmart. She FINALLY gets the opportunity to be a SAHM (stay at home mom). Something she has always wanted. She is setting a goal to start school the fall quarter....wish her luck!

Ahlyssa is one little firecracker. She talks and questions all the time. Always wanting to know what's going on. She is a social little thing. She likes chitchatting with the cashiers or waitresses. She LOVES dancing. Her and Ava (her cousin 4yrs old) do this dance that Ava learned in tap class. Ahlyssa loves playing with her older cousins. I think she thinks she's their ages. She is so funny with the facial expressions she makes...(definitely Brian's little girl) Ahlyssa LOVES playing outside (with no shoes) and now swimming. Now we just need to work on the potty training! She is such a blessing to us!

Well as we get settled in our new "home" we'll update again...until then.
