"All good things will be ridiculed"

I'm sure many have heard about the show to be aired on HBO about what goes on in our sacred temples. Although its disrespectful and unthoughtful for the producers to exposed such a thing (and most of it being portrayed wrong), it gives members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints an opportunity to answer and correctly identify to people the truth and share our testimonies to those who question and ridicule. In a news release from the Church, it stated that we would not fight because it will give people more of a reason to watch it. I totally agree with this. Here is where I stand with all this: I know that the temple and the ceremonies therein are for members who are ready and willing to appreciate its sacredness that is why we have recommends to enter. It's a place of beauty, peace, comfort, and a glimpse of eternity. There I feel important, appreciate and excepted...everyone is the same whether you are CEO of American Express or raising 14 kids on welfare. When I walk into the temple everything is lifted off my shoulders. At the door I leave the cares of the world and feel the comfort of my Heavenly Father. The temple reminds of my eternal family and knowing there is life beyond this. I will be with my eternal companion forever and always have Ahlyssa as my beloved daughter and any other children I will have here or beyond the veil. I am grateful to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and no matter how much opposition I face, I will be blessed for my efforts. I am not perfect but I have the greatest example to follow; my Savior Jesus Christ. I am so grateful for His atoning sacrifice so I could experience this life with my family, Brian, and my children. With them I will find "joy in the journey".
