2008 Holiday Season

Well here we are...2009! Brian and I are so excited for this year. I think its going to be a great one. We will be welcoming our first child in about 37 days or less. And many other things we hope to accomplish this year. We have basically adopted the phrase "its now or never". If we accomplish everything we have set for ourselves, we want to reward ourselves with a cruise for our 4th anniversary!
Everything has been going good with the pregnancy. I am getting so anxious to actually meet her! I feel her ALL the time and I want to put a face to this movement! Everything is getting very hard to do. Work is probably the hardest along with bending over! There are other things that I could complain about but I don't think Blogger would appreciate it! I know anything in life that is difficult is completely and totally worth it! (Let's all just pray she comes a tad early! :)

Well let's get down to the past couple of weeks which have been great! For Christmas Eve we spent at Erika and Aaron's. We had a delicious dinner and watched the boys open gifts. Santa showed up and brought the boys one gift each to open. Jayden was completely freaked out and Zachary was just in awe that Santa was actually at his doorstep. Seeing the boys eyes light up with the Holiday Spirit makes me so excited to see Christmas through my own child's eyes next year!
Christmas morning we woke up about 10 and opened our stockings that we agreed we would just do to save money. Brian did a great job with the stocking. Santa would just stuff and stuff our stockings when we were younger. That was my favorite part of Christmas morning. So anyway he did good. I got a mother's necklace but I will be waiting to wear it until I am physically a mother! We spent Christmas at Brian's sister's house with all the family. Once again we had great food and got great gifts from his family. It's so nice to have family close by and share the holidays with.
So fast forward a week or so and a trip to labor and delivery....everything is good with baby...I slipped on some ice and fell but everything is good! Its actually quite funny now that we know she is okay. A bunch of girls that I grew up with here in Ohio were in town so we had a little shindig and hung out with our hubbys. Its nice to actually meet these people and not just read about them!
New Year's Eve was just another day to us. I've never gotten too excited about this day other then I get it off from work! Ashlyn was in town so Caitlyn, Ashlyn, and I got to catch up for awhile and I made it to Brian just in time to say Happy New Year (kiss), I love you, and good night!
So here we are just waiting for the day that our little girl wants to meet us. I've gotten everything pretty much washed and ready. I got our hospital bag and diaper ready today and bought a few things for Brian to do because of his ADD. I hope everyone had a great holiday season and hope y'all have a Happy New Year. Here's a quote my mom brought to my attention and I absolutely love it...."Find the joy in the journey". I hope you all are able do so in this new and beautiful coming year.
